Bergamont Sweep 6

The "Sweep 6" model from Bergamont, released in 2022, is a versatile and lightweight bicycle designed for urban use. Priced at 1,099 EUR, it offers high-quality components and well-thought-out technical features.

The Sweep 6’s frame is constructed from an ultra-lightweight AL-6061 tube set and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The bike’s total weight is just 11 kg, whilst the maximum load capacity is 125 kg, ensuring high load-bearing capacity.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT200), fitted with SM-RT30 rotors (160/160 mm). The brake levers (BL-MT200) are also from Shimano and provide precise and reliable braking power.

The Sweep 6’s drivetrain is fitted with components from the Shimano Tiagra series. These include the front derailleur (FD-4700), the rear derailleur (RD-4700, long cage) and the shift levers (SL-4700, 2x10-speed), which have been specially developed for road bikes. The crankset (FC-4700) has a gear ratio of 50/34t, whilst the cassette (CS-HG500) offers a range of 11–34t. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X10 chain.

The fork is made of aluminium and features a quick-release mechanism as well as a mount for mudguards. The pedals are Wellgo LU895s. The bottom bracket is a Shimano Hollowtech II with a BSA thread.

The handlebars are Syncros 2.5 riser bars with a width of 660 mm, combined with Syncros Urban grips. The stem is also by Syncros (RR2.5) and has an angle of +/- 6 degrees. The headset is a semi-integrated, tapered model (BGM F13-C, A-Headset).

The Sweep 6’s rims are Shining DB-T260 Disc, whilst the tyres are Schwalbe Spicer with Kevlarguard and reflective strips (35-622), providing additional safety and puncture protection. The hubs are BGM Pro models with Centre Lock disc and quick-release mechanisms. The spokes are made of black stainless steel.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, mounted on a Syncros 2.5 seatpost, which provides additional comfort.
