Bergamont Sweep 4

The "Sweep 4" model from the "Bergamont" brand, released in 2022, is a versatile and lightweight bicycle available for €899. It features a 28-inch frame made from ultra-lightweight AL-6061 tubing, which offers both stability and lightness. The maximum load capacity is 125 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 11 kg.

The Sweep 4’s braking system consists of Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with SM-RT10 rotors (160/160 mm), which ensure reliable braking performance. The brake levers are also from Shimano (BL-MT200) and offer precise control. The drivetrain is fitted with Shimano Claris components, including an RD-R2000 rear derailleur with a long cage and an SL-R2000 shifter with 2x8 gears and Rapidfire Plus shifters. The front derailleur is a Shimano Claris FD-R2000.

The bike’s fork is a Sweep Alloy with quick-release and mounting points for mudguards. The pedals are Wellgo LU895 models. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-UN300 with a BSA thread, and the crankset consists of a Shimano FC-RS2000 with 50/34 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG31-8 with 11–34 teeth, and the drivetrain is completed by a KMC X8 chain.

Comfort and control are provided by the Syncros 3.0 handlebars, which are 660 mm wide, and the Syncros Urban grips. The stem is a Syncros 3.0 model with an angle of +/-10°. The headset is a semi-integrated, tapered A-Headset (BGM F13-C).

The rims are Shining DB-T260 Disc models, and the tyres are Schwalbe Spicer Plus with PunctureGuard and reflective strips (35-622). The hubs are BGM Pro models with CentreLock and quick-release mechanisms. The spokes are made from black stainless steel.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino 2.5, and the seatpost is also a Syncros 3.0 model. Overall, the Bergamont Sweep 4 offers a balanced combination of lightness, stability and reliable components, making it an excellent choice for a variety of uses.
