Bergamont Solace 9 black/gold

The "Solace 9 black/gold" model from Bergamont, released in 2020, is a versatile, high-specification bicycle available at a price of 1,799 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from a lightweight AL-6061 tube set and has a 28-inch size. The bike’s total weight is 15 kg.

The Solace 9’s braking system is fitted with Shimano Alfine hydraulic disc brakes, specifically the BR-S7000 model. These brakes offer reliable stopping power, supported by SM-RT64 rotors with a diameter of 160 mm at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also from Shimano Alfine – the BL-S7000 model – and ensure precise and smooth operation.

The drivetrain features a Shimano Alfine SG-C7001-8 freehub hub, controlled by the Shimano Alfine SL-7000 shifter. This combination offers the rider eight gears, which can be shifted quickly and efficiently thanks to Rapidfire Plus technology.

The bike’s fork is a BGM Urban aluminium rigid fork with an aluminium steerer tube and disc mount. Lighting is provided by a B&M IQ-XS N Plus front light with a 70 lux LED and parking light function, as well as a B&M Toplight 2 C Plus rear light, also featuring an LED and parking light.

The bike is fitted with aluminium trekking pedals and features a Gates GXP bottom bracket. The crankset consists of a Gates FC-S300 with 46 teeth, whilst the cassette is a Gates CDX with 22 teeth. Power is transmitted via a Gates CDX Carbon Drive Belt with Centre-Track technology.

The handlebars are Syncros riser handlebars with a 15-degree rise. The grips are Ergon GA30s, which provide additional comfort. The stem is a BGM Pro, which is multi-position adjustable (10°/25°) and has a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a BGM Comp A-Headset, semi-integrated in size 1 1/8".

The rims are Mach 1 640 Disc with 32 spoke holes, and the tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Almotion with Raceguard and reflective strips, size 50-622. The front hub is a Shutter Precision SP PL-8 hub dynamo with Centre Lock disc and quick-release, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano Alfine SG-C7001-8 freehub with Centre Lock disc. The spokes are Sapim Leader.

The saddle is an Ergon SFC30, mounted on a Syncros seatpost. The bike is also fitted with Curana Apollo aluminium mudguards with stainless steel struts. An Atran kickstand ensures the bike stands securely, and the luggage rack is a Racktime / Solace Carrier, which offers additional carrying capacity.
