Bergamont E-Grandurance RD 8

The "E-Grandurance RD 8" model from Bergamont, released in 2024, is a high-quality e-bike which, at a price of EUR 4,999, is positioned in the upper mid-range. It features an ultra-lightweight AL-6061 tubular frame with an integrated battery and is designed for a maximum permissible weight of up to 135 kg. The bike is suitable for riders between 173 cm and 184 cm in height.

The braking system consists of Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brakes, model BR-RX400, fitted to both the front and rear, with 160 mm brake discs (Shimano SM-RT64). The brake levers are also Shimano GRX, model ST-RX600. The derailleur is a Shimano GRX RD-RX812 Shadow Plus with a 1x11-speed shifter (Shimano GRX ST-RX600).

The fork on the E-Grandurance RD 8 is a BGM Allroad carbon fork with a carbon steerer tube and a 12x100 mm axle. Optimal visibility on the road is ensured by the Litemove SE front light with 110 lux and the Herrmans H-Trace Mini rear light, both LED models.

The bike is supplied without pedals and is fitted with a TQ bottom bracket and an FSA CK-746 crankset with 44 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M5100 with a range of 11–42 teeth, and the drivetrain uses a KMC e11 chain.

The handlebars are Satori X-Race Aero with a 16° flare, whilst the grips are BGM Race Grip-Tape, which offer anti-slip and shock-absorbing properties. The stem is a Satori Python, and the headset is an Acros A-Headset, semi-integrated and tapered, with an integrated cable guide.

The wheelsets consist of Ryde Rival 26 Disc rims, fitted with Schwalbe G-One Allround tyres (40-622), which are foldable, Tubeless-Easy and feature Raceguard. The front hub is a BGM Allroad Centre-lock Disc with a 12x100 mm axle, whilst the rear hub is also a BGM Allroad Centre-lock Disc, but with a 12x142 mm axle.

Riding comfort is ensured by the Syncros Tofino 2.5 saddle, paired with a Syncros seatpost. The bike is also fitted with Curana Apollo 50 mudguards and a Racktime/BGM Allroad Carrier luggage rack with the SnapIt 2.0 system.

The motor in the E-Grandurance RD 8 is a TQ-HPR50 with an output of 300 W and a voltage of 50.4 V, which assists the bike up to a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The battery, also a TQ-HPR50, is integrated into the down tube and has a capacity of 360 Wh. The display is integrated into the top tube and the charger is included in the scope of delivery.

The gross weight of the e-bike is 17,220 g. The frame’s geometry specifications include a reach of 400 mm, a stack of 598 mm, a seat tube length of 535 mm and a top tube length of 560 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees and the seat tube angle is 75 degrees. The head tube length is 160 mm, the chainstay length is 435 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 70 mm and the fork offset is 50 mm. The top tube height is 817 mm, the fork installation height is 420 mm and the wheelbase measures 1075 mm in total, with a bottom bracket height of 292 mm.
