Bergamont E-Cargoville LT Edition

The "E-Cargoville LT Edition" model from Bergamont, launched in 2023, is a versatile and robust electric cargo bike designed specifically for demanding urban use. Priced at EUR 4,399, it offers high-quality features and well-engineered technology.

The frame of the E-Cargoville LT Edition is made from a lightweight AL-6061 tubular frame set and is designed to accommodate a heavy-duty front rack and a long rear rack. The maximum permissible weight is 190 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 37 kg. It is suitable for riders between 160 cm and 175 cm in height.

Safety is ensured by Magura hydraulic disc brakes, with a 4-piston caliper and a 203 mm brake disc at the front, and a 2-piston caliper and a 180 mm brake disc at the rear. The drivetrain is a Shimano Deore 10-speed system, operated via Rapidfire Plus shifters.

The bike’s fork is a BGM Cargo rigid fork made from CrMo, which is extra-strong and features a tapered steerer tube. The lighting comprises a B&M Myc LED front light with 50 lux and a B&M Toplight 2 C LED rear light, which ensure good visibility in traffic.

The bottom bracket and drive system are from Bosch, with the motor being a third-generation Bosch Performance Line Cruise. This delivers 250 W at 36 V and provides assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h. The battery is a Bosch PowerPack with a capacity of 500 Wh, controlled via the Bosch Purion display. The charger is a Bosch Standard Charger rated at 4A.

The crankset consists of an FSA CK-200 with a 38-tooth chainring and chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M4100 with 11–46 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC e10 EPT chain.

The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser handlebars with a height of 50 mm, ergonomic grips and an adjustable stem. The rims are Ryde Andra 40 Disc, laced with Sapim Leader spokes. The tyres are Schwalbe Super Moto-X Greenguard, size 62-559, fitted to both the front and rear.

Other features include aluminium trekking pedals, a Syncros Capilano Trekking Memory Foam saddle, a BGM Pro seatpost, Curana Apollo mudguards with stainless steel struts and an Ursus Jumbo Evo double-leg stand. The luggage rack is a BGM custom carrier with the Atran AVS system and an Easy Fit Window for the Thule Yepp (rear).

With a seat tube length of 470 mm, a top tube of 606 mm and a wheelbase of 1297 mm, the E-Cargoville LT Edition offers a stable and comfortable riding position. The frame’s geometry ensures balanced load distribution and safe handling, even when fully loaded.
