Bergamont Bergamonster 20 Boy

The "Bergamonster 20 Boy" model from Bergamont, released in 2022, is a children’s bike designed specifically for young riders. It is available for €399. The frame is made from lightweight AL-6061 aluminium and measures 20 inches, which helps to reduce the total weight to 11 kg. The maximum load capacity is 65 kg.

The bike is fitted with alloy V-brakes, operated via adjustable aluminium brake levers. Gear shifting is handled by a Shimano RD-TY300 derailleur in combination with a Shimano SL-RS36 shifter, which offers a 1x7-speed configuration and features a twist-grip design. The Suntour XCT JR fork, with 40 mm of travel and a softer suspension setup, ensures a comfortable ride on a variety of surfaces.

Other features include Marwi SP-700 pedals and a sealed bottom bracket (BSA). The crankset is from Prowheel and features a 36-tooth chainring with a length of 127 mm. The Sunrace (MF-M300) cassette offers a 13–34-tooth range, whilst power is transmitted via a KMC Z7 chain.

The handlebars – a BGM Comp Riserbar with a width of 540 mm – and the BGM Kids grips provide good control and comfort. The stem is also a BGM Comp model and comes with a Syncros Stem Protector for added safety. The headset is a semi-integrated BGM FP-H807 A-Headset with a diameter of 1 1/8".

The rims are Shining V-6NS models, combined with Kenda Booster tyres in size 20x2.20". The hubs and spokes are both from BGM Comp, with the spokes made from black steel. The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro model, fitted to a BGM Comp seatpost.
