The TimeMachine TM01 was honoured with Cadel Evans' Tour de France victory in 2011 (even though Tony Martin won the big individual time trial at the time). The test confirms that the bike is fast. In the saddle, the black Bolide immediately feels very stable, which is confirmed by the test bench. The suspension is by far the stiffest in the test. The handlebars can be perfectly positioned - a convincing solution. Consistent with this technical level is the electric Di2 drivetrain - on the test bike still as a ten-speed version - which, however, raises the price to astronomical heights. However, BMC also offers versions with mechanical shifting. The integration of the V-brakes into the frame and fork is visually successful, but doesn't quite come close to Cervélo's hydraulic solution in terms of functionality.
