"Clik Valve" is the name of the new Valve from tyre manufacturer Schwalbe. The special feature: The pump head is clicked onto the valve and securely fastened. No pressure loss when pulling off and a significantly higher air flow rate than with other valves should enable more efficient and easier inflation.

With the new "Air-X-Plorer Clik Valve 10.0", SKS Germany offers a suitable pump for the new Clik-Valve valves from Schwalbe. The floor pump allows a maximum pressure of ten bar. It costs 49.99 euros and is available, for example available here.

The mini compressor for your jersey pocket: The "Airmach Electric Mini Inflator Pro" from Muc-Off is a small but powerful pocket-sized mini pump. With a size of just over six centimetres and a weight of 142 grams, the electric pump is interesting for sporty riders as it fits in a jersey pocket.

The pump has an air pressure and battery indicator and can be used with car and Sclaverand valves. The battery is charged via USB-C and inflates up to four tyres to a maximum of eight bar on one charge. The pump costs 125 euros and is e.g. available here.

With the "Joeblow Mountain Ex", Topeak offers a pump specially designed for mountain bike tyres. At 44.4 millimetres in diameter, the pump body is around 50 percent larger than conventional floor pumps. This enables better inflation of large-volume tyres, as more air enters the tyre per stroke.

The maximum pressure of the pump is four bar, sufficient for wide MTB tyres. Thanks to a rotating valve head with two openings, it is possible to inflate all three common valve types. The price is 44.95 euros >> available here.

The new "Injex Plus" from SKS Germany is a compact mini pump that can be used for emergencies on longer tours or on the daily commute. The pump head is angled at five degrees, which should make it easier to inflate the tyres.

The valve head is suitable for the three common valve types. A telescopic extension allows the pump volume and pressure to be increased. The mini pump costs 24.99 euros including the frame mount >> available here.

6. airmax from Schwalbe

Always keep an eye on the current tyre pressure - this is made possible by the smart "Airmax" bike sensors from Schwalbe. The twelve gram sensors are attached to Sclaverand or Clik-Valve valves and transmit the current tyre pressure to the appropriate Schwalbe app in real time via Bluetooth or ANT+. If the tyre pressure falls below the set desired pressure, a warning signal is sent to the smartphone. In this way, tyre punctures can be avoided at an early stage. The sensor set costs 199 euros.

With the new "Turbo Morph G", Topeak presents a mixture of floor pump and mini pump. Thanks to an integrated, foldable stand and an extendable handle, the pump enables both powerful pumping when stationary up to a maximum pressure of eleven bar and easy storage on the bike. This makes the pump a practical travelling companion for multi-day tours or training camps. The price is 44.95 euros >> available here.

Muc-Off is presenting a different kind of air pump with the "Air Blaster". Instead of blowing air into the tyre, it is a precision air blower for drying frames and components. According to the manufacturer, drying with air has the advantage that water is removed even from areas that are difficult to reach with a cloth, thus preventing corrosion and rust. The blower costs 150 euros.
