The road cyclist's survival kit for emergencies travels in the bag under the saddle. We present six waterproof saddle bags that can comfortably hold a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a mini tool.

Abus Oryde ST 8130 S

Abus is mainly known for bicycle locks, the range of saddlebags is manageable. The Oryde bags are available with a volume of 0.25, 0.4 and 1.0 litres. The smallest model weighs 80 grams and can be attached to the saddle and seat post using Velcro strips. In the rain, an integrated neon green cover makes the hatches (almost) airtight.

CONCLUSION Very light and inexpensive. Easy to attach. Two compartments inside allow you to organise the contents a little. The rain cover does not completely cover the bag.

Klickfix Integrabag

Klickfix is a brand from Rixen & Kaul that is particularly well known to trekking cyclists. The Integrabag for mounting on the seat post is the alternative if the saddle frame is not an option. The Klickfix system is clever: simply press on the zones marked red on the side of the bag to remove it.

CONCLUSION Robust, slim bag with plenty of storage space for a large puncture kit. Reflective strips on the sides for better visibility. Very practical: the integrated Klickfix mechanism.

Lezyne Dry Caddy M

The range from accessory specialist Lezyne includes twelve different
different models; this one is the only waterproof bag. The shape and fastening are strongly reminiscent of Ortlieb. The protruding holder positions the bag diagonally behind the saddle, where it acts as a mini splash guard. The robust design and the solid holder make the roll container weigh 180 grams.

CONCLUSION Spacious, high-quality workmanship, comparatively heavy. The contents stay absolutely dry. The large holder does not fit under every saddle.
