The frame bag from Ortlieb fits between the head tube and seat tube on the bike. TOUR tested the Frame-Pack RC Toptube.

The new Frame-Pack RC Toptube frame bag from Ortlieb has many practical features: In the three-litre version, it fits between the head tube and seat tube even for small frame sizes under 50 centimetres, so that depending on the bottle cage position, you can even fit water bottles underneath. The robust roll-top closure is tried and tested and waterproof over the entire length with three closures.

The five Velcro straps secure the permitted three-kilo load in the frame triangle without rocking. According to Ortlieb, the straps for the top tube can handle tube diameters of 30 to 70 millimetres; padding material under the loops on the seat tube and down tube can improve the hold on thin frame tubes. The four-litre version offers more volume and carrying capacity, but does not fit into very small frames.
