The BMC Teammachine SLR is getting an update: the race classic from the Swiss company comes in the latest version with integrated cables, but otherwise remains unchanged. Three equipment variants are available from 2999 euros.

With this subtle model update, BMC has modelled the entry-level platform on the high-end versions of the Teammachine SLR. According to the manufacturer, the beginner-friendly competition bike should benefit aerodynamically thanks to the integration of the cables and hoses. The 4.5 version adopts the so-called ICS technology (Integrated Cockpit System) from well-known models, the brake lines and shift cables are routed into the head tube under the stem. As a result, BMC promises a relatively simple adjustment of the riding position.

BMC Teammachine SLR: The most important facts

The new product can be retrofitted with all BMC one-piece cockpits thanks to the integration of ICS technology. Two-piece aluminium handlebar/stem combos are fitted to each of the three equipment variants. The Swiss company offers three different seat posts. The standard version has an offset of 15 millimetres, while posts with an offset of 0 and 25 millimetres are optionally available. The maximum tyre clearance is 30 millimetres.
