The French racing bike manufacturer Look is presenting an exclusive version of its top-of-the-range Look 795 Blade RS racing bike. In cooperation with London-based glitch-pop artist Jay Kaes, 50 hand-painted frame sets have been created to combine high-end racing bike performance with artistic expression. The special model, entitled "The Art Of Cycling × Jay Kaes", is based on the regular 795 Blade RS, which is also used by the Cofidis World Tour team.
According to Look, the edition combines French engineering with artistic design and makes the racing bike a "timeless icon". The limited series is already on sale and will be available via the online shop and selected dealers. The price for a complete set is 10,000 euros. Born in Spain, Jay Kaes is an urban artist living in the UK. His murals can be seen all over the world. His style is characterised by a mixture of painting, street art and modern technology.
Each of the 50 frames is painted by hand in Nevers. Jay Kaes reinterprets the Mondrian-inspired look colours in a glitch-pop style. The hand-painting process results in slight differences between the individual frames, making each one unique. The collaboration between Look and Jay Kaes began at the Rouleur Live trade fair in 2024, where the artist painted two frames live in front of an audience.
Technically, the special model corresponds to the regular 795 Blade RS. The equipment includes an integrated aero handlebar with stem and a carbon seatpost. The pedals are also included in the set: These are a limited edition version of the Keo Blade Ceramic Ti with ceramic bearings, titanium axle and a Blade design also created by Jay Kaes. The set is completed by an A4 poster with the frame design.
