The Xlite 04 takes its place as a beginner-friendly competition bike at direct mail order company Rose. The Bocholt-based company is launching three new colour options for the coming model year. The two equipment variants change gears by radio signal and cost 3599 euros each.

More than two years ago, when the Xlite 04 was launched on the market, there were still four equipment variants in the online shop, but Rose now only offers two versions of the affordable race bike. In the TOUR test, the platform particularly impressed with its high-quality frame set. Weight, stiffness and comfort: The now discontinued version with mechanical Shimano 105 did not have any significant weaknesses.

In contrast to the more expensive Xlite 06, the basic model is built with maintenance-friendly and robust components. Instead of a one-piece cockpit and carbon aero wheels, a handlebar/stem combination and relatively flat aluminium wheels are fitted. What all the equipment variants now have in common is that they are only available with electronic gear groups. The revised Xlite 04 is available with Shimano's 105 Di2 or SRAM's Rival AXS.

Both versions are available in three colour options for the coming model year. The mail order company is once again showing its creative side. After Leberkas as the paint finish for the Backroad AL, the pastel colours of the Xlite 04 sound like a well-stocked bar: Espresso Martini, Grapefruit Paloma and Absinthe Frappe are the options.
