The idea behind the CCT Evo Ultra was to develop a racing bike that had never been seen before in the company's 34-year history. The Upper Bavarian manufacturer is offering the bike in a limited edition of 34. It can only be reserved online. The press release promises "the best Corratec frame ever built" and "an ultra-lightweight design".

Corratec CCT Evo Ultra: weight-optimised frame and fork

The frame of the CCT Evo Ultra is said to weigh around 800 grams, while the fork is also very light at around 350 grams. In terms of design, Corratec cites its own company history and borrows the front frame triangle from the Bow design, which once characterised the brand and style. Above it sits an aerodynamically optimised, flat handlebar stem unit made from a single piece.
Around the carbon frame, the CCT Evo Ultra integrates a host of high-end components from the Champions League of bicycle construction. For the shifting components, Corratec relies on Shimano's electronic twelve-speed Dura-Ace Di2. The strikingly large CeramicSpeed oversize derailleur pulleys rotate on the rear derailleur. Power transmission is handled by a lightweight carbon crank from Look with SRM power meter and carbon chainrings from Carbon-Ti. The lightweight Obermayer EVO wheelset is fast, exclusive and makes a significant contribution to ensuring that the complete bike lands at the target weight of 6.8 kilograms, the lower limit set by the Cycling World Federation for racing bikes that are allowed to be used in competitions. The handmade saddle is also as light as a feather at 95 grams. "The aim was to create a high-end racing bike that is a milestone in product development for us," summarises Corratec founder Konrad Irlbacher in the press release.

Extensive range of accessories

The complete CCT Evo Ultra package includes a comprehensive clothing set consisting of short and long-sleeved jerseys with matching trousers, socks, gloves and helmet, as well as a high-quality bike bag, an additional transport cover and a comprehensive tool set including a torque tool.
