Independent carbon frame with average values, but good equipment. Somewhat unconventional geometry.

Following insolvency proceedings, Axus ventures a new start with an investor from Upper Bavaria. The new carbon frame has the formal characteristics of an aero racing bike, although the nominally comfortable seating position in terms of stack and reach is somewhat misleading. Due to the very slack seat angle, the rider sits far behind the bottom bracket and with the upper body stretched out rather flat. Technically, the frame presents itself without any serious weaknesses, but in comparison it lags behind the competition. Athletic riders might be bothered by the weakness in the head tube and the less laterally stiff fork, light riders by the low comfort of the aero seatpost. On the other hand, the triple-axle Ultegra is competitive and is aimed at thoroughbred racers with its high-profile wheels and tubular tyres.
