The METRON RS is the first full carbon wheelset from VISION that is completely designed, constructed and assembled by hand in-house. Every detail - from the carbon layup to the spoke tension - is controlled with surgical precision. Why do we do this? Because speed deserves nothing less than perfection.
The redesigned RS product line carries the legacy of VISION's high-performance METRON series into the future with state-of-the-art materials, optimised aerodynamics and refined manufacturing processes. It has been developed for cyclists who do not compromise and demand maximum watt efficiency, stability and speed - whether on the road or in full aero position on a triathlon course.

Carbon spokes: Lighter, stiffer, smarter
At the heart of the METRON RS-Performance are the optimised carbon aero spokes with rounded edges. They offer an impressive weight reduction of 108 g compared to conventional steel spokes. Each spoke saves around 2.4 g. But the weight saving is not the only advantage:

VISION has always been a leader in wind tunnel testing. With the RS project, the company redoubled its efforts and applied extensive CFD analyses and real tests under various tilt conditions.
"What really sets the METRON RS apart is the optimisation at system level," explains Ron Correa, Head of Aero Research at VISION.
"The rim profile, the spoke shape and the inner rim width all work together. We weren't just aiming for lower aerodynamic drag - we built a faster, more stable wheel."
