Eurobike 2022 will take place in Frankfurt for the first time
For many years, the Eurobike in Friedrichshafen was the trade fair highlight for bikers. However, its concept is increasingly becoming obsolete. The bike show is moving to Frankfurt in 2022.

Since 1991 the Eurobike -trade fair in Friedrichshafen is a highlight for the press, industry and bike fans. This is where people talk shop, scrutinise and admire. However, the concept has been crumbling for some years now. Not least because of the late date, more and more manufacturers are foregoing the expensive exhibition centre and cooking their own soup, for example in the form of an in-house exhibition. The result: Eurobike is becoming less and less attractive due to the loss of manufacturers - for bike fans and dealers alike. Now the IAA motor show is competing with Eurobike for the first time. Until now, the IAA (International Motor Show) was reserved for the achievements of the automotive industry. Futuristic and luxurious cars could be admired here. Now the IAA is moving from Frankfurt to Munich, bringing the bicycle industry on board and is also aiming to make bicycle mobility its flagship event. Many well-known bicycle manufacturers such as Scott, Specialized and Canyon have already confirmed their participation. Scene insiders even suspect that the IAA Mobility (7 to 12 September 2021) could overtake the Eurobike in Friedrichshafen. Eurobike has reacted and wants to exhibit in Frankfurt from 2022, also because of the better accessibility for international visitors.

Eurobike 2021 with two days for end customers

This year, however, the Eurobike trade fair will still take place at Lake Constance from 1 to 4 September and is aimed at trade visitors and end consumers. Only trade visitors are admitted on the first two days. On 3 September, Eurobike will be open to both trade visitors and end consumers. Saturday (4 September) is known to be a pure public day with a festival character, events and test and hands-on offers. However, insiders rumour that there won't be much in the way of new products.
